Job Description

  • Under the supervision of the Area Director of Sales amp; Marketing create, constantly update and execute the properties Marketing and PR Strategy Plan.
    • Implement and execute the Marketing and PR Strategy plan in coordination with Belmond Global and Divisional teams and outsourced partners such as the designated PR Agency.
  • Work with Area Director of Sales amp; Marketing and play a significant role in developing the hotel marketing budget and maintain budget control and forecast on all marketing activities. Activities including but not limited to:
    • Creation of promotions and packages, advertising, digital media, social media, collateral production or market analysis.
  • Own planning, execution, and scheduling of owned social media posts on the La Samanna channels (Minimums: Facebook (4x per wk), Instagram (5-6x per wk), IG stories (1x per wk) and LinkedIn (1x per wk; align with HR). Will have sole posting, content creation responsibility for both properties with input and approval from Divisional Social Media Manager and at times Global Media team.
  • Create and distribute social media content to the Belmond Commercial Organization and Product Sales Teams.
  • Create and execute local paid social media advertising with input and approval from Divisional Social Media Manager and at times Global Media team.
  • Coordinate content creation and photoshoots - at a minimum, this role would create briefs, liaise with photographers, prep the prop teams and attend shoots; with input and approval from Divisional Social Media Manager and at times Global Media team.
  • Responsible for developing cross-brand partnerships that provide benefits and enhance the hotel image and guest experience.
  • Manage all day-to-day media relations’ activities in the region and nurtures long term relationships with international, national and local media as well as online players, blogging community and marketing partners.
    • Create, supervise and maintain a media and marketing partners’ database for mailings and communications
    • Strong copywriting skills for writing and production of press releases and media pitch documents, amongst others in coordination with the team and Divisional and Global Communications teams
    • Host media events, press trips and represents Belmond at key media and industry events in the region when required and in coordination with Divisional and Global PR teams and international media agencies. Act as on-property liaison for all media, influencer and KOL visits
    • Provide a written monthly update on Belmond public relations activities and coverage for the Divisional Brand Director and Global Director of Communications
    • Develop specific plans and actions in conjunction with regional PR agency to drive awareness of brand in the region and work with each product to align with business arriving from those markets
    • Facilitate a two-way flow of information between sales, marketing, operations, PR agencies around the world and the Divisional/Global Communications teams
    • Respond to and act upon worldwide media inquiries
  • Act as a brand custodian for the hotels and Belmond brand and manage the preparation and implementation of new brand collateral.
    • Work with GM’s, Belmond Divisional Brand amp; Marketing Director and Area Director of Sales amp; Marketing in the property’s narrative, conceptualization and visual identity.
    • Under the supervision of the Area Sales amp; Marketing Manager and Divisional Brand amp; Marketing Director and in alignment with Belmond Brand guidelines design and maintain assets, on time and on budget, for projects including, but not limited to:
      • Print design e.g. adverts/newsletters/flyers/brochures/in-room/ collateral/posters/invitations
      • Digital e.g. banner ads, PowerPoint presentation templates, sales materials, and internal comms
      • Identity e.g. logo reviews/enhancements/usage
      • Items/accessories e.g. exhibition stands/banner/display designs, giveaway/collateral items
    • Create, maintain and coordinate stock levels of giveaways and collateral for the properties
  • Work closely with Concierge, Famp;B, Spa Department and other departments in promoting the optimization of the in-house guest experience and maximizing in-house revenue.
  • Work with Operations teams to inspire and develop new incomparable and genuine experiences focusing on individual property positioning, new brand platform and experience manifesto.
    • Lead internal communications to education and inspire Operations teams on all marketing initiatives and programming
