The Training and Development Supervisor is responsible for facilitating in-classroom and on-the-job training based around the Belmond Principles and LQA standards. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops basic training and development programs for all operational departments.
- Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
- Develops and maintains organizational communications such as Facebook postings, bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events.
- Modifies programs as needed.
- Assists with maintaining Tamp;D metrics.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Works effectively as a team member with the HR staff.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in French and English.
- Strong presentation skills to conduct training in French and English
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a 4-star resort/hotel
- Excellent ability to use PowerPoint, Excell, Outlook
