Training Development Supervisor
Belmond, Dominica

The Training and Development Supervisor is responsible for facilitating in-classroom and on-the-job training based around the Belmond Principles and LQA standards. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops basic training and development programs for all operational departments.

• Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.

• Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.

• Develops and maintains organizational communications such as Facebook postings, bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events.

• Modifies programs as needed.
• Assists with maintaining Tamp;D metrics.

• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

• Works effectively as a team member with the HR staff.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in French and English.

• Strong presentation skills to conduct training in French and English

• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.

• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a 4-star resort/hotel

• Excellent ability to use PowerPoint, Excell, Outlook
